Eligibility Before Ranking
Confirm which federal program you may qualify under: Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, or Federal Skilled Trades. Eligibility and CRS ranking are different. A profile can be eligible but not competitive, and a profile can look competitive while still carrying documentation risk.
- Confirm your program route.
- Check language-test validity.
- Confirm your education credential assessment if foreign education is claimed.
- Confirm proof-of-funds needs by family size and program.
- Match every job claim to actual duties, dates, hours, and proof.
CRS Improvement Levers
The highest-impact levers are often language scores, French ability, spouse factors, Canadian education, provincial nomination, and qualifying work history. Do not rely only on one general CRS cutoff. Express Entry rounds can be general, program-specific, or category-based.
Document Readiness
Before an invitation, prepare employment letters, pay evidence, ECA, language report numbers, passport details, police certificate strategy, proof of funds, address history, travel history, and family documents. The strongest profile is one where every claim can be documented quickly after ITA.
